WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Oct 9, 2012) - Today, Case New Holland (CNH) hosted Illinois Congresswoman Judy Biggert at its facility in Burr Ridge, IL, where she was honored by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) for her commitment to manufacturing.

At the ceremony, the NAM presented her with the Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence, an accolade that recognizes consistent support of manufacturers and their employees across the United States.

"On behalf of CNH, I want to thank Congresswoman Biggert for her role in ensuring that the manufacturing voice is heard in Washington," said Joseph Samora, Senior Vice President for Government Affairs and NAM board member. "It is leaders like Congresswoman Biggert who know that manufacturers are drivers of economic growth, job creation and prosperity."

"Manufacturers today compete in a global marketplace," said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. "It is critical that Washington creates policies to keep us competitive and maintain our mantle of economic leadership. Congresswoman Biggert understands this and has consistently supported the pro-manufacturing agenda through her votes in Congress."

"American manufacturing is critical to our economic future, and I'm honored to be counted among its allies in Congress," said Biggert. "Our area is home to some of the world's most innovative manufacturers, and they provide thousands of jobs to hard-working men and women throughout Illinois. To ensure these opportunities continue to grow, we need to enact commonsense economic policies that will drive U.S. exports, promote innovation, and help create good jobs here in America. I look forward to continuing that work, and I'm very pleased to have the support and input of NAM and its members here in Illinois."

Congresswoman Biggert supported 97 percent of the policies identified by the NAM as critical to the success of manufacturing during the 112th Congress.
