Comcast bundles for college

Investor's Business Daily

In an effort to capture young audiences gravitating towards streaming services such as Netflix (NFLX) and Google's (GOOGL) web-delivered YouTube, Comcast (CMCSA) is offering on-demand and live TV bundles to students at colleges including Drexel Univ. and MIT. The package includes more than 80 channels available on smartphones, tablets and computers via each school's Wi-Fi connection. AT&T (T), which wants to acquire DirecTV (DTV) to compete better with Comcast, says that it's adding 50 more channels to its U-Verse streaming app. Comcast shares fell 0.4% to 54.44. AT&T rose 0.3% to 34.64.
