•    Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) announced that next year it would offer an original horror series, Hemlock Grove, starring Bill Skarsgard and Famke Janssen. Following the announcement, Netflix’ shares jumped 4.4% to settle at $120.10 a share

•    Shares of Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL) came down from its day’s highs to end 2.3% lower yesterday, even though the company reported strong third-quarter results late Tuesday. Oracle posted quarterly earnings of $0.59 per share that lagged the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.54

•    On Assignment, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASGN) announced that it will takeover Apex Systems by paying $600 million which includes debt

•    Hartford Financial Services (NYSE:HIG) announced plans to concentrate on group benefits, mutual funds and property and casualty insurance, and said it would exit the annuity business
