Computer Modelling Group Announces Executive Appointments
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Apr 1, 2013) - Computer Modelling Group Ltd. (CMG.TO) ("CMG" or the "Company") is pleased to announce internal promotions of Ryan Schneider to Vice President, Marketing and Canadian Sales and David Hicks to Vice President, Eastern Hemisphere, effective April 1, 2013.
These appointments are made as Ron Kutney, currently Vice President, Canada and Eastern Hemisphere, has advised the Company of his intention to retire effective June 30, 2013, following a transition of his current responsibilities. To aid the transition process, Mr. Kutney's responsibilities will be divided into the two geographic regions of Canada and the Eastern Hemisphere and he will serve as Vice President, Special Projects from April 1 until his retirement.
Since joining CMG as Vice President, Marketing in October 2011, Mr. Schneider has expanded the Company's marketing efforts and demonstrated his leadership abilities under increasing responsibilities. Mr. Schneider holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Calgary.
Mr. Hicks joined CMG's United Kingdom office in 1998 and was instrumental in growing the Company's European market presence. He has held roles of increasing responsibility over the last 15 years with CMG, most recently as General Manager, Eastern Hemisphere based in CMG's Dubai office. Mr. Hicks holds a Bachelor of Science (Geophysics) from University of Edinburgh and Master of Science (Reservoir Evaluation and Management) from Heriot-Watt University.
Mr. Kutney joined CMG's sales team in 1995 and, through progressively senior positions, has been a key contributor to CMG's global market penetration. Mr. Kutney became an officer of CMG in 1998 and in 2008 moved to Dubai to establish the Company's office and expand operations in the Middle East region.
