Congo's M23 rebels say ending rebellion, will disarm


KINSHASA, Nov 5 (Reuters) - The Democratic Republic ofCongo's M23 rebel group said on Tuesday it will end its 20-monthinsurgency with immediate effect and seek a political solutionto the crisis in the east of the country.

"To this end, the chief of general staff and the commandersof all major units are requested to prepare troops fordisarmament, demobilization and reintegration on terms to beagreed with the government of Congo," M23 leader BertrandBisimwa said in a statement.
