MONTREAL , May 24, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Last night at an evening event held as part of the C2-MTL business conference on creativity, the jury of the 2013 edition of the Carte Blanche for Creatives contest announced the big winner in the Montréal market: Luc Du Sault and Vincent Bernard from the lg2 agency for their "Honda électrique" concept.

The winning team of creatives will travel to France to attend the Cannes International Festival of Creativity and their client wins a campaign across the Astral Out-of-Home network in the Montréal region.

Composed of a creative team member from each participating agency, the jury voted between May 7 and 10 to select the winning piece. The shortlisted pieces had been voted on by members of the creative community on carteblancheforcreatives.ca.

"Once again this year, the Carte Blanche contest brilliantly showcased local talent by giving free rein to creatives wanting to push back the limits of creativity in out-of-home advertising", said Nathalie Doré, Vice President, Marketing and Media Creativity, Astral Out-of-Home. "We warmly congratulate the winners and thank all of the participants who created incredible works of art."

Launched in March, the Carte Blanche for Creatives contest set a record by receiving the highest number of pieces ever submitted in the Montréal and Toronto markets. In its first year, the Vancouver market also received an impressive number of submissions.

Winners in the Toronto and Vancouver markets will be announced on May 28 and June 4 respectively.
