Consumer sentiment is only report today


Today's economic calendar will be light heading into the three-day weekend, with only one data release.

The day begins at 5:30 a.m. ET with a speech by Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank President Charles Plosser at a Bundesbank conference in Germany.

Consumer sentiment for May will be reported at 9:55 a.m. ET. The consensus forecast calls for a print of 77.8, unchanged from April's figure. Estimates range from 76.0 to 79.5.

U.S. markets will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

Tuesday's calendar will include the Case-Shiller housing price index 9 a.m. ET, consumer confidence data at 10 a.m. ET, and the Dallas Fed manufacturing survey at 10:30 a.m. ET.
