CARY, N.C. (AP) -- Cornerstone Therapeutics received Food and Drug Administration approval for its generic version of a cough and upper respiratory drug.
Tussionex Pennkinetic is used to treat allergies and colds in people aged six and older. The company said it will begin producing the drug immediately.
Shares of Cornerstone Therapeutics Inc. rose 24 cents, or 3.8 percent, to $6.57 in midday trading.
