Early Adopter Availability of CoroWare CoroSecure - Cloud Edition
Kirkland, WA, and Atlanta, GA, June 26, 2013 – (Eteligis via Accesswire) – CoroWare, Inc. (COWI) and Dispersive Solutions Inc. (DSI) announced today the launch of CoroWare CoroSecure - Cloud Edition for cloud-based Applications, which is built upon DSI's Spread Spectrum IP patented network security technology.
The widespread use of cloud applications, combined with increased deployments of mobile applications, raises new security threats. Typical certificate-based security through SSL/HTTPS are proving easily hacked by professional cyber-warfare groups. Other traditional approaches like VPN's are not deployable in many cloud-based scenarios leaving companies looking for viable security alternatives.
CoroWare and DSI have addressed this problem by developing CoroSecure - Cloud Edition. CoroSecure - Cloud Edition covers all cloud-based applications that operate over the Internet for enterprises plus their customers and partners, including CRM, ERP, websites, email, HD videoconferencing, collaboration and Voice Over IP (VoIP) systems.
"Coroware software solutions support centrally managed security in a manner that creates a virtual network, central to the systems of engagement that are evolving with smart device extensions of the computing environments. Cyber security solutions from Coroware ensure the security of mission critical applications that operate over mobile networks and the Internet, providing a vital capability needed across the board," says Susan Eustis, President and CEO, Co-Founder of WinterGreen Research.
CoroSecure - Cloud Edition combines a virtual dispersive network (VDN) which is a 100% software solution with centrally managed security capabilities. This virtual network is managed through a VDN Switch (VDNX), which controls who participates in the network. Through the VDNX, network administrators are able to detect network intrusions, and furthermore, are able to isolate that intrusion, protecting the integrity of the network as a whole.
"Enterprise customers are looking for solutions that can ensure the security of mission critical applications that operate over mobile networks and the Internet," said Robert Twitchell, chief executive officer of Dispersive Solutions, Inc. "Working with CoroWare, enterprise customers will be able to benefit from DSI's patented Virtual Dispersive Networking with Spread Spectrum IP technology."
CoroWare CoroSecure - Cloud Edition is available to enterprise customers through CoroWare's Early Adopter Program, in which customers may evaluate the solution in conjunction with their own mission critical applications. Through this program customers discover and verify how CoroWare's solution can help them secure their cloud-based applications and operations from the malicious activities of hackers.
"We believe this next generation security solution provides an extra measure of security for cloud applications and does so more affordably than other alternatives on the market," said Steven Mueller, Vice President and Business Unit Manager of CoroWare, Inc. "CoroWare's solution and early adopter program will help customers secure their cloud infrastructure and ensure that their applications and content are safe from external security threats worldwide."
About Dispersive Solutions
Dispersive Solutions, Inc. is led by Robert W. Twitchell Jr., CEO, and inventor of VDN technology. He has an extensive background in the wireless industry. He holds over 85 granted patents with many more non-provisional patents pending in wireless, GPS, networking, and location technology. He is also a Subject Matter Expert for the Department of Defense on Mobile and Wireless Technology.
DSI's Virtual Dispersive Networking (VDN), with Spread Spectrum IP, splits data traffic across multiple independent paths as it traverses the Internet, rather than sending all the data over a single path, which is presently how it is done. Consequently, if a Man-in-the Middle attack takes place on the Internet, the hacker is only getting a small piece of the document/message, rather than being able to copy all of it. Hence, the information taken is of no use to the hacker, and he has no indication how many additional paths on which the other pieces of data are traveling.
The selected paths for each piece of the data stream are random, simultaneous, and continuously changing, analogous to a "spread spectrum frequency hopping" radio for IP based networks. This technology makes it nearly impossible for the hacker to know what other paths are being used to transmit the remaining pieces of the file.
