A U.S. appeals court ruled in favor of AstraZeneca (AZN), saying its patent on Crestor is valid and enforceable and rejecting challenges made by generic-drug makers including Mylan (MYL) and Teva Pharmaceuticals (TEVA), reported Bloomberg. The ruling protects the valuable cholesterol medicine, which brought in $2.3B in revenue in the first nine months of this year in the U.S., the report noted.
