Credit Union CEO to Take Dive for Charity

NEW WESTMINSTER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Aug 22, 2014) - On Friday, August 29th, 2014, Doug Eveneshen, CEO of Community Savings Credit Union and Board Chair of the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation will be holding his breath and taking a dive to Raise Funds for the Terry Fox Foundation.

Every year the New Westminster Branch of Community Savings Credit Union and their staff take it upon themselves to raise funds for the Terry Fox Foundation, and this year they've set up a dunk tank for their boss.

"This is the perfect excuse to dunk my boss," said Tracey Weir, Regional Manager Sales & Service for Community Savings Credit Union. "Of course, it's all in good spirit, and we're hoping to see our members, neighbours, and even staff from other financial institutions come out - maybe the CEO's from other credit unions will take a shot?"

The event will also host a BBQ over lunch with all proceeds going to the Terry Fox Foundation. Doug will also be there to help serve up hot dogs and smokies along with the Community Savings Credit Union staff.

"I'm always happy when we can support our community and important causes - it's really what our credit union stands for," said Doug. "I'm hoping the water won't be too cold but I know that it's worth it."

The BBQ will be from 11AM - 3PM on August 29th at their New Westminster Branch at 1188 8th Ave, and Doug will be taking dunks from 12PM - 2PM. Everyone is welcome, and all proceeds go to charity. For more information, visit www.comsavings.com.
