Matthew Keys, who is now the deputy social media editor for Reuters (TRI), is accused of previously helping hackers attack The Los Angeles Times, which is owned by Tribune, the parent of his former employer, reported Financial Times. The report noted that Thomson Reuters stated it was aware of the charges brought by the Department of Justice against Keys, and that any legal violations can result in disciplinary action, though added, "Keys joined Reuters in 2012, and while investigations continue we will have no further comment.”
