NEW YORK (AP) -- Industrial and medical equipment maker Danaher expects its second-quarter earnings and core revenue to come in above its prior forecasts.
The Washington, D.C.-based company previously predicted earnings between 80 cents and 85 cents per share, with core revenue up 1 percent to 2 percent. It did not specify in the news release what its new expectations are.
Analysts polled by FactSet expect earnings of 84 cents per share.
Shares of Danaher Corp. added $1.55, or 2.4 percent, to $65.98 in morning trading Tuesday after trading as high as $66.46 earlier in the session, a new all-time high.
The company will report its quarterly financial results on July 18.
