DataSift Expands Executive Team With Chief Marketing Officer

    MarketwiredOctober 24, 2013

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Oct 24, 2013) - DataSift, the platform that powers the social economy, today announced that Beth Beld has joined the company as chief marketing officer. Beld brings more than 20 years experience in leading enterprise global marketing and product management teams to DataSift, where she will drive the company's next phase of growth.

A recognized thought leader in enterprise software and big data platforms, Beld has deep expertise in defining business opportunities that lead to the definition of new market categories and the creation of high growth opportunities in existing markets. Throughout her career, Beld has driven new market categories through her work with key influencers and analysts to define disruptive concepts around high performance workplaces and cloud solutions.

"Beth is an accomplished leader with a wealth of experience in the enterprise software market and demonstrated expertise in the development of market strategies and new market category definition," said Rob Bailey, CEO of DataSift. "We are thrilled to have Beth on board to accelerate the adoption of DataSift's platform by enterprises, brands and agencies."

Said Beld: "Social is transforming how decisions are being made across the enterprise -- from marketing to product development to customer service -- and DataSift is at the forefront, driving this revolution with all of the applications powered by our platform. I am excited to join the company at such a pivotal time in its growth and am inspired by the opportunity to continue to define and lead the social data platform market."

Most recently, Beld was chief marketing officer for Attensity, the leading provider of customer analytics and engagement solutions. Prior to Attensity, she spent six years at SAP, where she was responsible for Customer Innovation Marketing, marketing portfolio strategy and new market category creation, including SAP StreamWork, a social business solution focused on collaborative decision-making in the enterprise. Beld grew the SAP Corporate Performance Management division's market perception from the No. 6 to No. 2 player and elevated SAP to the Leaders position in Gartner's Corporate Performance Management Magic Quadrant within 12 months.

"Beth has long understood the power of bringing together structured and unstructured data to drive better decisions and improve business performance," said Nick Halstead, founder and CTO of DataSift. "Her proven ability to define and drive leadership in new markets will firmly position DataSift as the leading platform powering the new big data economy and enable us to capitalize on the massive growth opportunity in social data."

While at SAP, Beld received a patent on Systems and Methods for Accessing Software via User Intent Modeling, developed around the concepts of the future of work that combine enterprise content and corporate intelligence with everyday user intent language -- coined as the term "Language of Business."

Prior to SAP, Beth held senior marketing and product management positions at Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion and PeopleSoft. She holds a bachelor's degree in international finance from Purdue University and London School of Economics as well as a master's degree in accounting from Indiana University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Texas elector quits, says pledge binding and Trump 'not biblically qualified'

Surf: Why did he ever accept the position to begin with, knowing that the choice was between Trump & Hillary. By using his logic, he could not have voted for Hillary either. Where in the Constitution does it say a President has to be "biblically qualified". The last time I checked, there were only 3 qualification requirements listed: One must be 35 years of age, a resident "within the United States" for 14 years, and a natural born citizen.
