Defy Media and Ford Partner to Create “Laugh Trek,” an Original Comedy Series for Men’s Lifestyle Destination, Made Man

Stand-up comedians Nick Thune and Moshe Kasher explore Los Angeles to compete for laughs

Defy Media, a merger of Alloy Digital and Break Media, has partnered with Ford for “Laugh Trek,” a seven episode original comedy series, for its leading men’s lifestyle destination, Made Man. The video series features stand-up comedians Nick Thune and Moshe Kasher as they explore Los Angeles and compete to perform the best impromptu stand-up comedy in front of unlikely audiences at Muscle Beach, on a Hollywood tour bus, around Korea Town and more. Viewers can then cast a vote via the “Laugh Trek” hub on Made Man and YouTube.com/MadeMan to help determine the winner of the competition.

The premiere episode, “Retirement Home,” is now live on Made Man and YouTube.com/MadeMan, Defy Media’s top men’s lifestyle destination. Each episode of the seven part series will present the comedians with an on the fly challenge where they go head-to-head to get the most laughs. The new series lives on a custom Man Made hub which features weekly episodes, voting capabilities, behind the scenes photos, more information on the comedians and social feeds.

“Laugh Trek” ties into Ford’s larger program, “The Next Fiesta Movement.” At the heart of the program are 100 social influencers (named “Fiesta Agents”) who, through a series of exciting missions and the content they create, convey the unique personality and attributes of the new 2014 Ford Fiesta in an entirely different way – and building what has become Ford’s first entirely user-generated campaign. One Fiesta Agent, Bridget O’Neill, stars as the host of the “Laugh Trek” video series.
