Dell buyout group near deal for $13.75/share plus special dividend, WSJ says

Dell's special committee is close to a deal with Michael Dell and Silver Lake under which the committee would agree to modify the voting rules on the deal and the prospective buyers would offer $13.75 per share plus a special dividend for holders, one source told The Wall Street Journal. The Journal noted its sources said the new deal isn't done yet. Note that CNBC's David Faber reported last night that talks between Michael Dell and the special committee were continuing and Dell shares are up about 3.75% in pre-market trade.
