MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Global automotive supplier DENSO Corp. plans to open an assembly plant warehouse in Montgomery, Ala. that will provide 45 jobs.
Company officials and city officials announced Wednesday that the $2.2 million project will be located in an existing warehouse that the company will lease. The operation is scheduled to open in April 2014. It will support the warehousing and shipping of heating, ventilation and air conditioning units and other parts to North American customers.
DENSO, based in Kariya, Japan, operates in 36 countries and has about 130,000 employees.
