DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - Jan 15, 2013) - Arthouse Design (www.arthousedenver.com), a Denver-based graphic design studio offering branding, print, and electronic design, wayfinding signage programs, and environmental graphic design services worldwide, has been commissioned to develop a wayfinding system, environmental graphics, and building signage for the Children's Colorado South Campus, located at the corner of Plaza Drive and Lucent Blvd. in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
The Arthouse Design team was chosen for this project because they already had crafted the colorful, whimsical, and functional wayfinding system, environmental graphics, building signage, and donor signage for Children's Colorado's main campus, located on the Anshutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. When the time came to develop wayfinding and building signage for the new Children's Colorado South Campus, the Arthouse Design team was tapped to develop a new wayfinding program, color palette, environmental graphics, and building signage for Children's Colorado's South Campus, which is slated to open at the end of 2013.
The Children's Colorado South Campus is expected to host roughly 80,000 patient visits during its first year of operation. The 175,000-square-foot facility will be located on 22 acres of land at the corner of Plaza Drive and Lucent Blvd., in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Children's Colorado's South Campus will serve the growing population in the southern corridor of metro Denver, which has a heavy concentration of families with children.
The Arthouse Design team is crafting a wayfinding system, a color palette, environmental graphics, and signage that complements the look and feel of Children's Colorado's main campus, while building its own identity. Arthouse Design is working with Texas-based FKP Architects, which specializes in master planning, programming, and design of hospitals, cancer centers, research institutions, and academic campuses.
"Arthouse Design was a natural to be chosen for this assignment," said Marty Gregg, Arthouse Design principal and founder. "Over the years, we've become experts at healthcare facility wayfinding and design, and we're steeped in the culture, feel, and urgency of emergency medicine and medical facilities for children. In addition, we did the wayfinding and signage design work for Children's Colorado. We helped them create their brand. We understand their culture. Now our challenge is to create an identity for Children's Colorado's South Campus that also ties back to the parent facility."
