(Continued from Prior Part)

Ammonia prices

In the week ended May 27, 2016, the US domestic market (SPY) was broadly unchanged for ammonia prices. Companies that sell ammonia include Terra Nitrogen (TNH), CF Industries Holdings (CF), CVR Partners (UAN), and PotashCorp (POT).

North America

Ammonia prices for Tampa CFR (cost and freight) moved down 1.6% to $315 per metric ton compared to $320 per metric ton in the previous week. Prices for the US Gulf NOLA (New Orleans) also inched down by about 1.5% to $320 per metric ton from $325 per metric ton a week ago.

In contrast to the slight falls in the above two locations, prices remained unchanged in the Corn Belt at $467 per metric ton (or $515 per short ton). Prices in the Southern Plains also remained unchanged at $435 per short ton (or $394 per metric ton).

International markets

Ammonia in the Black Sea region stood unchanged from the previous week at $280 per metric ton FOB (free on board). Prices in the Middle East stood at $355 per metric ton FOB, which also were flat compared to the previous week. In Western Europe, ammonia prices stood at $340 per metric ton CFR, which was also flat.
