Marketwired

BEAVERTON, OR and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 7, 2013) - Digimarc Corporation (NASDAQ: DMRC) today announced company representatives will participate in two key sessions at Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) Forum New York 2013. MMA New York 2013 is being held May 8-10 at the Marriott Marquis, New York City, New York.

In the "Creating Awareness and Influencing Engagement: Mobile, Media and Advertising Within the Marketing Mix," session on Wednesday, May 8 at 9:30 AM ET, Matthew Szerencse, Market Development Manager at Digimarc, will join other experts from Cooking Light, Kargo and Velti, to discuss proven ways to leverage mobile apps to engage with and sell to consumers. Szerencse will discuss how current brands and publishers are successfully engaging consumers with print-to-mobile experiences using imperceptible digital watermarks.

In the "Today's Mobile Devices are Consumers' Eyes and Ears through the Shopping Journey," session on Friday, May 10 at 2 PM ET, Sean Calhoon, Senior Director of Product Management at Digimarc, will detail how retailers, brands and publishers can leverage digital watermarking to connect consumers with premium content, e-commerce offers, contests and more. Attendees will learn how a smartphone can "see" imperceptible watermarks embedded in print ads, digital display screens, signage, brochures, packaging materials and more to drive higher levels of engagement.

Calhoon will also discuss Digimarc's audio watermarking solution, which just released into beta. Audio watermarking is a powerful new way to connect customers to online experiences on their mobile devices via radio and TV content or in-store audio. Consumers simply open a Digimarc Discover-enabled mobile app to "hear" the watermark and seamlessly connect to an online destination, such as a mobile website, video, coupon or other promotion.

To learn how media and everyday objects -- including print, audio and packaging -- can be given "digital identities" that facilitate deeper consumer engagement at every touch point throughout a shopper's journey, visit: www.digimarc.com/shoppers-journey. The video will be available for viewing on Thursday, May 9.
