TORRANCE, CA--(Marketwire -01/19/12)- Doffin Investments, an independent wealth management firm, has named Peter Dabbieri as chief operating officer. Dabbieri, who reports to chief executive officer Dimitry Tikhonov, will coordinate key administrative and managerial functions of the business, and develop sales strategies and practices.
Dabbieri formerly held a senior management position with Manhattan Associates, the world's leading supply-chain execution software developer. He headed a division that produced computer and radio frequency data capture technology, taking it from its start-up phase to more than $12 million in annual sales. Since leaving the company in 2003, Dabbieri has focused on securities investing and philanthropic activities.

A retired Captain in the U.S. Navy, Dabbieri graduated from the Naval Academy in 1967 and became a carrier pilot, flying A-6 Intruder attack jets. While a naval officer, he earned master's degrees in aeronautical engineering and business and was subsequently assigned to conduct research and development at the Pentagon and the Naval Air Systems Command. He also served on the staff of the Commander of the Naval Air Force, Pacific Fleet, based in San Diego.
Dabbieri's appointment coincides with Doffin Investments' relocation of its headquarters to a larger office suite in Torrance. The company's new home is more than twice the size of its previous site and includes additional space for administrative staff and for conducting seminars and other client events.
