Duke Energy disclosed in a regulatory filing that on December 3 the North Carolina Utilities Commission orally approved the settlement agreement by and among Duke Energy Corporation, the NCUC Staff and the North Carolina Public Staff with respect to the NCUC investigation following the company’s merger with Progress Energy. The settlement agreement resolves all matters related to the NCUC investigation, Duke stated in the filing.
