Durbin indicates Democrats could repeal medical device tax, The Hill says

Democrats may be willing to repeal the medical device tax included in the Affordable Care Act, senior Democratic Senator Dick Durbin, a key ally of President Obama, stated on CNN, according to The Hill. However, Democrats would demand that the revenue lost from repealing the tax be replaced with another revenue source, the senator told CNN. A spokesman for Speaker Boehner has indicated that House Republicans could agree to fund Obamacare, allowing the government shutdown to end, if the medical device tax was repealed.
