HERNDON, Va., Oct. 1, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ePlus inc. (Nasdaq:PLUS - News) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, ePlus Technology inc., has been selected by the Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium (MHEC) to provide information technology products and services under a new contract, MC10-F05. ePlus is part of a select group of resellers under this contract to provision products to MHEC members, which represent 89 member schools throughout New England higher education as well as public television, libraries, private secondary institutions, and autonomous state agencies. The agreement began in September 2009 and runs through June 2011.

The MHEC contract covers numerous product lines from various manufacturers, including Barracuda, Belkin, Cisco, Dell, EMC, HP, IronPort, Logitech, Quantum, Sophos, and Targus. ePlus is authorized to provide a variety of computer equipment and supplies under the contract to MHEC members, including storage, networking, security devices, IP telephony, telecommunications, peripherals and accessories, and maintenance.
