Gannett fell $.01 or percent, to $21.74.
New York Times Co. rose $.07 or .7 percent, to $10.09.
News Corp. rose $.07 or .2 percent, to $33.24.
Time Warner Inc. rose $.42 or .7 percent, to $60.49.
Viacom Inc. rose $.16 or .2 percent, to $69.85.
