Kroger rose $.08 or .2 percent, to $35.15.
Safeway rose $.31 or 1.3 percent, to $25.32.
Supervalu rose $.16 or 2.4 percent, to $6.85.
Whole Foods Market Inc. rose $1.19 or 1.2 percent, to $103.23.
