General Electric Co. fell $.10 or .4 percent, to $23.56.
Snap-On fell $1.07 or 1.2 percent, to $89.29.
Stanley Works fell $1.15 or 1.4 percent, to $78.51.
Whirlpool Corp. fell $3.30 or 2.5 percent, to $127.29.
