during this second week of the season. For financials, the bank season is largely over although a few names are left (inc. KEY Thurs morning). In tech the highlights include AAPL/ALTR/SNDK/SYMC/WDC (all Wed
night), AVT/CY/FCS (Thurs morning), and FLEX/KLAC/MSFT (Thurs night). Thetransports earnings will be closely watched given the TRAN action (all timehighs) and UNP comes Thurs morning. For the aerospace/defense
stocks, GD/TXT are Wed morning, LMT/RTN are both Thurs morning,and HON comes Fri. ATI will be watched closely given its relationship toBA (ATI reports Wed morning). Multi-industry investors are focused on Siemens/UTX (Wed morning) and MMM(Thurs morning) while health care will be dominated by STJ/SYK/WLP (Wed morning) and AMGN(Wed night). Finally for
consumer MCD is Wed morning and PG comes Fri pre-open. *

increase to the debt ceiling Wed Jan 23. *

*ECB LTRO repayment – the ECB will announce this Fri (Jan 25) how much
banks plan on refunding during the first repayment window (Jan 30).
Analysts expect EU100B worth of refunding during this first window. *

*Economics – the flash PMIs (China Wed night; US/Europe Thurs morning) will
provide investors with the first economic data point of Jan.
There is some talk that economic growth may have been pulled forward into Dec from Jan to avoid the US fiscal cliff and these PMIs will help shed some light how
growth kicked off 2013. *
