eBay Enterprise, Modmerica Group Strike a Partnership - Analyst Blog
eBay Enterprise, an eBay Inc. EBAY company, recently struck a deal with Modmerica Group.
Why the Partnership?
Established in 2011, Modmerica Group is the parent company of brands like Moddeals and 10 Dollar Mall.
Modmerica manages product fulfillment for its brands. However, due to its swift sales growth, the company had to find new ways that could scale with its business, lower delivery times, and let the business focus on merchandising -- its area of expertise.
Modmerica entered into a strategic partnership with eBay Enterprise because of its best-in-class, flexible and scalable fulfillment and freight solutions. This partnership will enable Modmerica to deliver fast, cost-effective service to its consumers.
Alliance Already Bearing Fruit
Jake Risman, President of Modmerica, said that the company was looking for a partner with e-commerce expertise that could offer a wide range of services along with the ability to scale and enhance customers’ experience.
It looks like Risman found the right partner. Ever since it partnered with eBay Enterprise, Modmerica’s average delivery time has radically reduced -- from 5 days to 2.5 days. As much as 90% of the orders are being delivered within 3 days.
This progress has led to increased customer satisfaction. Complaints and downbeat reviews from consumers have also reduced significantly.
According to Risman, “Delivery speed to our customers has already improved by 58 percent.”
Tom Barone, Vice President, North America Operations for eBay Enterprise says that the company is delighted to have made an instant and noteworthy impact in delivery time for Modmerica. He also said that the company plans to continue to optimize operations to further enhance the experience of Modmerica’s customers.
