EWS TR900 and Funding Update

AJAX, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan 31, 2013) - Environmental Waste International Inc. (EWS) (TSX VENTURE:EWS) announced that it has installed post combustion treatment to the power generator at its TR900 plant in Sault Ste. Marie, which allows it to resume at will operation of the system. EWS is now conducting operational testing and tuning of the equipment to achieve the desired generator emission levels. During this period, EWS continues to operate the TR900 for viewing by interested parties.

The TR900 system breaks down used tires into carbon, steel and vapor. The vapor is blended with natural gas and fed into a generator to produce power. The TR900 is now operating reliably and producing consistent quality by-products. EWS is focused on securing markets for these by-products and orders for the TR systems.

EWS further announced that, subject to TSXV approval, it plans to raise $500,000 to $3,000,000, less any fees, via a private placement of between 2,500,000 to 15,000,000 Units. Each $0.20 Unit consists of one common share and one half of a Share Purchase Warrant. Each whole Warrant will entitle purchase of one common share at a price of $0.35 for two years from the date of issue. Funds will be used for sales, marketing and ongoing development of the TR application, as well as for general working capital purposes.

EWS has designed systems for the breakdown and recovery of usable by-products from several organic materials, including rubber tires, and for the sterilization of medical, animal, liquid and food waste. EWS continues to explore other applications for its technology. Please visit the EWS website at: www.ewmc.com.
