MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - Feb 27, 2013) - Burlington Trailways and Jefferson Lines bus company announced they have extended the hours of the downtown Des Moines, Iowa motorcoach terminal located at 1107 Keosauqua Way. These changes took effect on February 15th. The terminal will now be open at 3:45a.m. Previously the terminal opened to the public at 4:30 a.m.
Burlington Trailways and Jefferson Lines have been running their operations out of the former Greyhound facility since August 15, 2012. The decision to increase the hours of operation and the public's access to the building was made after a review of the two company's respective schedules. Both Burlington Trailways and Jefferson Lines are committed to providing security and comfort to our customers and those who may be meeting people on an inbound bus or themselves arriving at the terminal for their departure.
Jefferson Lines has a 3:55 a.m. scheduled arrival from Minneapolis that continues onto Kansas City, Missouri. Previously customers boarded the motorcoach outside the terminal.
"We believe the decision to extend the hours of the Des Moines facility will be an additional benefit for valued passengers of both companies and others who may be arriving at the terminal for other business and the two companies are pleased we can work together to make this change," said Kevin Pursey, Director of Marketing for Jefferson Lines.
