Eye-Popping Quilt Gardens and Quilt Art Murals Showcased in Signature Northern Indiana Amish Country Event

Nationally Recognized Event Features 19 Quilt Patterned Gardens and 21 Quilt Art Murals on View May 30 to October 1, 2015

ELKHART, IN--(Marketwired - October 30, 2014) - The 2015 Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail in Northern Indiana Amish Country will showcase 19 quilt themed gardens and 21 quilt art murals from May 30 - October 1.

Nearly 150,000 annuals will pack quilt gardens that average 1,200 square feet in size and cover 23,000 square feet of soil. It is required that garden sites change patterns each year so viewers always get a fresh look. The hand-painted outdoor quilt art murals average 129 square feet in size with the largest mural measuring 448 square feet.

These vibrant quilt gardens and murals blanketing the communities of Bristol, Elkhart, Goshen, Nappanee, Middlebury, Shipshewana and Wakarusa along the Heritage Trail, a nationally recognized driving tour route, are viewable free of charge.

"The Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail is a signature attraction for our destination that engages hundreds of volunteers and site staff who commit thousands of hours to plan, plant and tend the intricate gardens," says Diana Lawson, the Elkhart County (IN) Convention & Visitors Bureau's executive director. She goes on to say that this event has been recognized as an American Bus Association Top 100 Event for seven consecutive years, and it draws visitors from all over North America.

The Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail is produced by the Elkhart County (IN) Convention & Visitors Bureau (ECCVB). For more information contact the ECCVB at 574.262.8161 or visit QuiltGardens.com.
