Father's Day makeover: 5 gifts that will upgrade your Dad's look

My dad is my best friend. He’s funny, smart, supportive and deserves the world! Although I would love to buy him that Harley-Davidson motorcycle he (jokingly) asks me for, it’s not happening.

So if you’re in my shoes and can’t yet afford to buy your dad his dream present, check out these five budget-friendly gift ideas that will give your dad a Father’s Day makeover.

His wardrobe
Dads are often busy doing repairs at home or driving kids around, so it’s safe to say that he may not have a ton of time to go shopping for himself. An easy solution this Father’s Day is to sign him up for Bombfell.

Sneak into Dad’s closet and get his sizes. Once you’ve gathered the info you need, just go to Bombfell.com, create his profile and enter your billing info. If you would rather buy a gift card, it has that option too. Although there is no sign up or styling fee, be advised that if Dad gets an article of clothing he likes, you will get charged for it.

Since we know how important it is to be budget friendly, we have teamed up with Bombfell to offer an EXCLUSIVE discount for our Yahoo Finance readers.

His facial hair
If you can’t afford to drop $250+ on a high-end electric razor, you can still offer Dad some great shaving tools by signing up for the Dollar Shave Club. For just a few bucks a month, this company sends razors to Dad’s house. There are different plans for you to choose from that range from $1 to $9 a month.

This can also be a good gift for dads with beards. Dollar Shave Club offers various products including moisturizers, cleansers and hair paste.

His accessories
A good watch is a must-have for all dads. It’s nice to splurge on a nice piece, but if that’s not in your budget this Father’s Day, we’ve found a deal that you won’t be able to resist.

Timex is offering a 20% discount on all of its watches with free shipping on orders over $25. The great thing about Timex is the different price points to choose from. While its men’s watches range anywhere from $34 to $265, the majority are in the $50 to $100 price range.

The promo code to use for the 20% discount is DADGRAD20.

His money
Growing up, I remember my dad’s wallet being the size of my fist (or close to it!), and I always thought, “This can’t be comfortable for him to carry around all the time.” Turns out I was right! Chunky wallets are now a fashion no-no.

We found a great deal for a slim Vaultskin wallet made of genuine leather for only $29.99 on Amazon. Don’t let the size fool you, this sturdy wallet holds up to 10 to 12 cards at a time and includes a “smart strap” that allows you access them quickly.

The best part is its Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) insulation. According to Vaultskin’s website, RFID protection is “specifically designed to block scanners from reading your RFID- enabled credit cards or driver’s license.” In other words, your Father’s Day gift is also protecting your dad from identity theft!

Bonus: His memories
If your dad is already coiffed and styled, there’s a possibility that the gifts above are not for you. If that’s the case, spending time with your dad might just be the best option. If you’re looking for an activity to do together, for around $43 you can have a beer making session in the comfort of your own home.

In reality, chances are that your dad just wants one thing—YOU! Gifts are great but the best advice we can give you is to spend time some quality time with him on his special day.
