FCC OKs Dish wireless move

Investor's Business Daily

The chairman of the FCC proposed rules allowing Dish Network (DISH) to use spectrum it bought in bankruptcy proceedings in mid-'11 for a wireless network. The FCC, however, would set aside some airwaves for an auction, a move favored by Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S), which is a likely bidder for the spectrum. Dish shares rose 0.7%.
