American Express Co. rose $1.14 or 1.5 percent, to $74.98.
Capital One Financial Corp. rose $.10 or .2 percent, to $62.10.
Discover Financial Services rose $.49 or 1.0 percent, to $47.89.
Mastercard rose $6.22 or 1.1 percent, to $584.41.
Visa Inc. rose $1.66 or .9 percent, to $184.01.
