NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of some top department store retail companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Kohl's Corp. rose $.45 or .9 percent, to $50.49.

Macy's Inc. fell $.26 or .7 percent, to $37.76.

Nordstrom rose $.29 or .6 percent, to $50.74.

J.C. Penney Co. rose $.77 or 2.8 percent, to $28.08.

Saks fell $.12 or 1.2 percent, to $10.14.

Sears Holdings Corp. rose $.25 or .4 percent, to $56.84.

TJX Companies fell $.03 or .1 percent, to $40.87.
