NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of some top machinery companies were down at the close of trading:
Caterpillar fell $1.48 or 1.6 percent, to $89.94.
Deere & Co. fell $.53 or .7 percent, to $75.14.
Manitowoc fell $.02 or .2 percent, to $10.72.
Terex fell $.25 or 1.5 percent, to $16.93.
