Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation (the "Corporation") (FC.TO) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement to sell, on a bought deal basis, to a syndicate of underwriters led by TD Securities Inc., 1,700,000 common shares (the "Shares") at a price of $12.10 per Share (the "Issue Price") for gross proceeds of $20,570,000. The Corporation has granted the underwriters an over-allotment option, exercisable in whole or in part at any time up to 30 days after closing, to purchase up to an additional 255,000 Shares at the Issue Price. Should the over-allotment option be exercised in full, the total gross proceeds of the offering would be $23,655,500.
The net proceeds of the offering will be used to repay indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.
The offering is scheduled to close on or about January 28, 2014, and is subject to regulatory approval.
