Ford vs. Chevy, McDonald's goes mobile in China and Greek lessons learned

U.S. stocks (^DJI, ^GSPC, ^IXIC) are largely shrugging off the continuing drama in Greece but that doesn't mean there aren't lessons to be learned. While the United States isn't on the edge of the cliff like Greece, an increasingly complicated and messy tax system doesn't help matters here at home. Could we one day be in Greek-like trouble if we don't change our ways?

IRS punts on policing nonprofits until after 2016
The IRS is reportedly expected to wait until after the 2016 elections to crack down on nonprofit campaign spending. IRS officials have conceded that there is little they can do to stem the flood of money anonymously channeled through nonprofit groups to various campaign interests.

Chevy vs. Ford
General Motor's (GM) redesigned Chevy Silverado is doing some heavy lifting for the company's earnings. For the first half of 2015, Silverado sales are up 14.6 percent year over year and are cutting into sales of the most popular vehicle on U.S. roads: the Ford (F) F-150.

McDonald's goes mobile...in China
McDonald's (MCD) and Kentucky Fried Chicken (YUM) are trying to win back customers in China and they're doing it with technology. The two fast food giants say they can get even faster by introducing mobile ordering and mobile pay to customers.
