Former North Dakota Branded Beef Facility Selling at Lender-Owned Auction Wednesday, June 4, 2014

Business Wire

Maas Companies of Rochester, Minn. will liquidate a 18,006 square foot meat processing facility on 8.52 acres in the Harvey Industrial Park, 2550 Highway 3 North in Harvey, North Dakota at a lender-owned auction Wednesday, June 4 at 11 a.m.

The meat processing and finishing facility was built in 2000 and was designed for up to 10,000 head per year from the plains area. Due to challenging economic conditions during the start up phase, the plant was forced to cease operations.

The property is currently lender owned and the seller is highly motivated to find a new owner for the site. The property is applicable to many uses with the potential of a rail spur to the Canadian Pacific Railroad. The plant will sell as one lot separately from the meat rail system selling, which subsequently can remain onsite or be relocated.

Tyler Maas, sales and marketing director, commented, “The lender-owned auction offers the plant to a new buyer at a significant savings over the millions of dollars spent to design and build the facility. In this economy, the auction offers new buyers a great economic opportunity in a community eager to welcome a new tenant.”

Potential buyers are encouraged to attend the following open houses:

Wednesday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tuesday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Other times by appointment
