Frank Gore is setup for history this Sunday

Frank Gore has been through a lot during his 12 year career.

Coming to Indianapolis last season many expected Gore to lift some pressure off of Andrew Luck’s shoulders. He was coming off of four straight 1,000 yard seasons.

But injuries set into Luck and the box was continually stacked against him. What we saw instead was a down year.

Gore finished with just 967 yards rushing at a disappointing 3.7 ypc.

However, Gore is still on pace for a historic game in London Sunday morning.

The Jaguars have the 20th ranked rushing defense in the league, giving up 109 yards per game. That bodes well for Gore.

Gore seemed to get going on the ground last week against the Chargers. Finsihing with 21 carries for 82 yards.

If the Colts get him going Sunday then we should see Gore jump up on the all-time rushing leaders list.

Currently Gore sits at 12,225 career yards, 13th all-time.

Here is how the next four players stack ahead of him.

9. Jim Brown – 12,312 yards
10. Marshall Faulk – 12,279 yards
11. Edgerrin James – 12,246 yards
12. Marcus Allen – 12,243 yards

With Gore’s first ever 100 yard game as a Colt Sunday we could see him vault ahead of some the games best running backs of all-time.

At the very least we could see Gore jump to 10th on the list, as that would take just 54 yards on the ground.

Of course Frank the tank will not care unless the Colts come away with a win. But it will be a nice moment in his career.

Not too bad for someone who was a third round pick.
