Freedom Innovations Announces Forthcoming Launch of Kinterra Hydraulic Foot/Ankle System

    IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Freedom Innovations, an Irvine, CA based manufacturer of advanced technology prosthetic devices, announced the impending launch of its new Kinterra Foot and Ankle System. The Kinterra technology combines an innovative blend of hydraulics and carbon fiber to provide amputees with exceptionally normal walking and movement – regardless of surface or speed.

Offering a number of unique features, such as articulated movement, an innovative dorsi-assist spring, and smart controls, all in a highly durable design, Kinterra is being demonstrated now in limited US markets and will be available globally this summer.

"We are very excited to bring Kinterra to our customers,” said Rob Cripe, Freedom Innovations’ Senior VP of Global Marketing. "For end users, the articulated movement will mean a more symmetrical, energy-efficient gait that improves comfort, balance and confidence. It’s technology that we are particularly proud of because it takes everyday function to the next level, simulating normal body movement.”

Kinterra users will also benefit from unprecedented stability on slopes and level ground, improved limb health thanks to Kinterra’s reduced socket pressure, and enhanced comfort while sitting, standing and squatting. The design even simplifies the process of putting on a shoe.

Freedom Innovations, LLC designs, manufactures, and markets advanced technology lower extremity prosthetic devices that provide people with physical challenges the ability to reach their full potential. Based in Irvine, CA, Freedom’s lower extremity prosthetics are distributed around the world.
