LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire -03/16/12)- Front Row Networks, Inc., a Los Angeles-based concert production and distribution company, and wholly-owned subsidiary of Writers' Group Film Corp. (OTCQB: WRIT.PK - News) (Pinksheets: WRIT.PK - News), announced today that it has entered into a first-look production agreement with Peter Martin, the Los Angeles-based writer and 3D producer.
Peter began as a journalist specializing in music and film in the 1980s. In the '90s, Peter worked in TV in both London and Los Angeles, developing and producing groundbreaking entertainment formats such as 'Wired' and 'Passengers', the global youth culture show which was one of the first brand-funded shows -- sponsored by Pepsi -- shown in over 23 countries.
Peter had the opportunity to work within the film division of Done & Dusted, headed by Hamish Hamilton (Director of the 2011 Oscars and Super Bowl Half-Time Show) where Peter produced the 'Victoria's Secret Fashion' show for CBS. Throughout the last decade, Peter has had success producing shows with a worldwide audience appeal. Most notably, in 2010 Peter created and produced 'Waste Land,' the feature length documentary directed by Lucy Walker, which has won over 35 Festival awards and was nominated for Best Documentary at the 2011 Academy Awards.
In 2011, Peter moved to Los Angeles and set up VALIS Entertainment with his partner Nicole Ehrlich, who is the VP at Universal Music Group/Interscope/Geffen/A&M and Producer of all Lady Gaga visual projects, notably the Emmy Award-winning Monster's Ball concert film for HBO.
"FRN looks forward to working with Peter in creating and producing premium 3D music content. His experience and artistry are incredible assets to our team," said John Diaz, CEO of Front Row Networks and its parent Writers' Group Film Corp.
The current worldwide phenomenon surrounding 3D, combined with the strong-performing live concert business and Peter Martin's background in both live and scripted production, presents a unique opportunity for Front Row Networks and Martin to create inexpensive, state-of-the-art, live 3D concert experiences for venues around the world.
Front Row Networks is a live concert production and distribution company which produces live concerts in 3D for initial digital broadcast into movie theaters in North America. Following their theatrical run, the films are then licensed to US and international broadcasters, pay channels, PPV markets, DVD and Blu-Ray distributors, and sold on the internet as downloads.
