Gannett (GCI), a newspaper and TV station owner, said it reached a deal with Dish Network (DISH) on fees and a new Dish digital video recorder called Hopper that lets viewers automatically skip commercials in Dish programs. The accord avoided a blackout of network programming for some U.S. Dish customers. Details of the agreement weren't released. Gannett shares fell 1.4% to 18.16. Dish shares were unchanged.
