LINDENHURST, N.Y. (AP) -- The gas lines are getting slightly shorter on Long Island.

But there were still up to 50 vehicles lined up in some places in a wet snowfall on Wednesday.

A charity called Israel Flying Aid said it was delivering gas to some health care facilities in Queens and on Long Island. The humanitarian group said it wanted to help doctors and nurses get to and from work.
