Ghana to continue tight monetary policy after downgrade -cbank


ACCRA, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Ghana will continue its tightmonetary policy and expects increased inflows from oil and gasproduction to help stabilize its finances in early 2014, centralbank Governor Henry Kofi Wampah said in the wake of a downgradeby Fitch on Thursday.

"The combintion of monetary policy and increased flows fromthe external sector as well as the fiscal consolidation goingforward are factors that we believe will normalise the situationand ease pressure on the markets," Wampah told Reuters bytelephone.
