The price of oil fell Wednesday after the U.S. reported an unexpectedly large increase in crude supplies.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Benchmark crude fell 94 cents to finish at $85.73 per barrel.
Gasoline fell less than a penny to end at $2.60 a gallon.
Heating oil fell less than 1 cent to finish at $3.04 a gallon.
Natural gas dropped 8.5 cents to end at $3.45 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE Futures exchange in London:
Brent crude fell 40 cents to finish the day at $107.85 per barrel.
