NEW YORK (AP) — The price of oil fell Tuesday as persistent worries about weaker economic growth outweighed encouraging reports about U.S. consumer confidence and housing prices.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Benchmark crude fell 56 cents to finish at $91.37 per barrel.
Heating oil rose 0.99 cent to end at $3.1086 per gallon.
Wholesale gasoline rose 4.95 cents to finish at $2.9671 per gallon.
Natural gas rose 8.7 cents to end at $2.924 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE Futures exchange in London:
Brent crude rose 64 cents to finish the day at $110.45 per barrel.
