Marketwired

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 25, 2012) - Cut the Rope, the digital gaming smash hit created by ZeptoLab®, will be making its big screen debut exclusively in National CineMedia (NCM)'s FirstLook pre-show in movie theaters across the United States.

From September 28 through October 25, special Cut The Rope video content -- including an all-new animated short starring Om Nom, the game's loveable star -- will run in NCM's FirstLook prior to select screenings of G and PG-rated films on thousands of movie screens across the nation.

"We believe that Cut the Rope will continue to grow explosively and become a premiere global entertainment franchise. This cinema campaign is another one of the ways we are building the Cut the Rope and Om Nom brands through new media initiatives outside of the game," said Misha Lyalin, CEO of ZeptoLab. "We are just getting warmed up, and this is one of many brand extensions coming this year."

"There is no better place to reach audiences who love games and entertainment than at the movies," said Cliff Marks, president of sales and marketing with National CineMedia (NCM). "People of all ages love Om Nom, so parents and kids who come to our theaters to see the great slate of fall family movies will really enjoy seeing him in action on the big screen."

Since its launch in October 2010, Cut the Rope has been one of the fastest selling games of all time and the first iOS game to win a BAFTA Award, as well as an Apple Design Award.

Cut the Rope is a top five best-selling game in the casual gaming category with more than 250 million downloads on iOS and Android-supported devices. Cut the Rope is also available on additional platform extensions including its popular HTML5 and MacOS versions.
