GM, Honda expanding in U.S.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal announced that General Motors (GM) will buy a former UPS facility in Roswell, Ga., and convert it to an information technology center. The project is expected to create 1,000 high-tech jobs at the site and inject $26 mil into the state's economy. Separately, Honda Motor (HMC) said it will add about 50 jobs at its Marysville, Ohio, assembly plant as it prepares to build the '14 hybrid Accord there. GM shares rose 1.6% to 30.44. Honda rose 2.2% to 38.17.
